Homelessness in Downtown Los Angeles is a huge problem, and although we can’t solve the homeless crisis overnight, we can help those affected by it. The owners of DTLA’s Greenbar Distillery have teamed up with a non-profit group called The Burrito Project. The group meets monthly and prepares burritos, then shares them with hungry people in the area. Here’s where you come in… throughout the month of September, every time you order a cocktail made with Greenbar’s City Bright Gin at a participating bar or restaurant, Greenbar will donate a burrito to feed the hungry. It’s that easy. There are 130 participating establishments across the state. Five of them are in DTLA; Ace Hotel, Baldoria, Sake Dojo, Eat Drink Americano and Villains Tavern.
Greenbar Distillery and The Burrito Project are hoping to pass out 50,000 burritos this fall, but that will only happen with your support. Go out and drink this month and order City Bright Gin for everyone. And when you do, post photos on social media and add #LoveOurCity to help spread the word.
