Are you a wine lover in DTLA? Well, then you need to check out Wine Stop in DTLA’s Arts District. It’s a cute little wine shop on Santa Fe Avenue, just north of the 10 freeway. Wine Stop has an awesome vineyard to shelf concept that let’s them offers up top-quality wines that you can’t find anywhere else in the city. They have wines from all over the world from places like Germany and France. And although it looks like a high-end wine shop, the prices are quite reasonable, including a great selections of bottles under $10.
We were throwing a party this past weekend and needed wine, so instead of heading to the supermarket and randomly grabbing bottles off the shelves, I decided to head over to Wine Stop. The owner Alvaro could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I ended up getting two cases of awesome wine from Portugal. Everyone at the party loved it.
Not sure what wines to buy? Not only will Alvaro make some recommendations, you can also taste it. Wine Stop has a tasting bar in the back of the store that offers up Wine Discovery Flights that includes 3 different (2 oz) pours for $6 a person. Yep, you can sample the wines to find the one(s) you like best.
Not only does Wine Stop offer up great wines and great prices, it’s also a great way to support DTLA small business. Next time you need to stock up on wine, skip the supermarket and head over to Wine Stop. Cheers!
