20170430_124919It’s no secret that is a fan of Cleo restaurant in L.A. Live.  We just love the place.  Well, now there is another reason to love the place even more… Sunday Brunch!  Cleo serves up an awesome brunch menu that includes a make-you-own Bloody Mary bar, and they are only $10 each.  Yep, you get to create your own signature Bloody Mary and add your own combination of specialized ingredients.

Okay, now let’s talk about the food.  On Sundays there are seven Brunch Only items added to their menu and we almost tried them all.  We started with the Avocado Toast ($14) served with pickled beets.  It was good, but nothing compared to the parade of food that followed.

The Maple Challah French Toast ($14) was delicious.  It was served with whipped Marscapone… amazing.  Although the menu says a singular Spiced Apple Pancake ($15), we were actually served two large pancakes topped with whipped butterscotch cream, cider caramel and cinnamon-almond streusel.  This was a lot of food.. but more followed.

The Prosciutto Benedict ($15) came with grilled asparagus.  The Greek Omelette ($15) was stuffed with Tzaziki, Kalamata olives, artichokes, sundried tomato, capers.  It was covered with Feta, and served with pickled cucumber and grilled baguette.  All of the food was delicious.

If you are looking for a new place for Sunday Brunch in DTLA, you need to try Cleo.  The service is friendly.  The food is great and reasonably priced. It’s a great place to start your Sunday mornings.
