ANOTHER DTLA RESTAURANT SHUTS DOWN… EJ’S BITES CLOSES WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION

20170409_143322

Another DTLA restaurant has closed up shop.  EJ’s Bites on Figueroa just north of Olympic has shut down.  There are no signs on the door and no information on the restaurant’s website or social media sites, but the space has been cleared out.  We did call the restaurant’s phone number and it is out of service.

DTLAexplorer first told you about EJ’s Bites back in December 2015 when their signs went up.  We told you about them again in January 2016 when they officially opened their doors.   The restaurant was never packed, even on games nights across the street at Staples Center.  The EJ’s Bites concept apparently never caught on.

EJ’s Bites took over the space that was once La Gran Cucina.  It will interesting to see if another restaurants moves in, or if the place will remain empty until the building is demolished for a new high rise.

Just last month, The Briks restaurant closed down just a few block away.
