THE BRIKS RESTAURANT SHUTS DOWN IN DTLA’S SOUTH PARK

DTLAexplorer.com first told you about The Briks restaurant soon after it opened two years ago at the corner of Hope and 11th.  And earlier this month we raved about the restaurant’s “Funky Brunch.”  Well, we are quite disappointed to tell you that the restaurant has shut down.  We were out for a walk tonight and found the windows all covered with paper.  As soon as we got home, we called the restaurant hoping that it was just part of a remodeling or something, but the phone number has been disconnected.  There’s no mention of the closing on either the restaurant’s Facebook or Instagram accounts, but there is a letter from the chef/owner circulating online.

We are sad to see The Briks go… and look forward to Chef Mario’s next venture.

If you are looking for a place to eat nearby, check out Prank Bar or Bottlerock across the street.
