If you are a fan of a good michelada, you need to make plans to head to Smorgasburg LA in DTLA on Sundays. That’s where you will find the Michemobil serving up it’s signature I Love Micheladas Bloody Mary-like Mexican beer cocktails. The Michemobil is a vintage 1969 Volkwagen Van that has been converted into the ultimate party bus complete with four beer taps and a built-in DJ booth. Unlike most micheladas, the Michemobil’s recipe contains more lime juice than tomato juice. There is also a splash of Worcestershire sauce and other secret ingredients that make it a smooth brown color. That’s why they adopted the slogan “Brown is Beautiful.” A michelada from the Michemobil at Smorgasburg will cost you $7. It’s the perfect way to wash down all the food you will be eating at the event, plus is in a less crowded beer garden area.
You can find their I Love Micheladas mix at Vallarta Supermarkets across Southern California, but you can also get the Michemobil to roll up on your next party. Yep, you can rent it for $350/hour (two hour minimum), add an extra $100/hour and they will throw in a DJ.
