DTLA is just weeks away from the grand opening of the new restaurant called Miro located on the corner of Wilshire and Figueroa in the Financial District. The former Cucina Rustica location has been given a massive makeover. Renovation photos posted on the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram pages show a much more modernized space. The new restaurant will be “a fresh, healthy sustainable fine-dining concept” with a “modern and innovative beverage program.”
Even more exciting is the new menu. The restaurant will no longer just serve traditional Italian fare, but instead offer up a more Mediterranean menu. DTLAexplorer.com found the new menu posted on the restaurant’s new website featuring wood grilled octopus, lamb kofta tagine and seafood paella negra. Images of some of their dishes have also appeared on social media including the Portuguese fish stew, duck mezzaluna and the roasted cauliflower.
The space will also feature what’s being touted as a “world class whisky bar” with “LA’s most progressive whisky program.” Although an official grand opening date has not been announced, DTLAexplorer.com was told the opening is “just a few weeks away.”
