SPRING ARCADE BUILDING EXPLODING WITH FOUR NEW DTLA RESTAURANTS AND BARS

springBack in April 2015, DTLAexplorer.com first wrote that the Spring Arcade Building was becoming the “new restaurant hotspot in DTLA.” Wow, were we right!  Four more new eateries are about to open in the Spring Arcade joining the Austrian sausage house Bierbeis Imbiss, the traditional Mexican restaurant Guisados, the gelato shop Gelateria Uli, the French creperie Crepes Sans Frontiers and the Green Grotto Juice Bar.

Downtown Donuts will specialize in freshly baked donuts and a cup of hot coffee.  The photos on the  restaurant’s official website will make you drool.  No official word on an opening date.  A recent post on the Downtown Donuts Facebook page says “coming soon.”

Not a fan of donuts?  Well, how about bagels?  Kaplan Bagels will be opening just a few feet away.  There’s not too much out there about Kaplan Bagels, no website or social media sites.

According to the Garcons de Café website, it will be a wine bar to go shopping, and a retail store to have a drink. Garçons de Café will be a piece of France in Downtown LA.  It officially opens Friday, March 11th at 5pm.  Bonjour!

And finally there is Clayton’s Public House.  It will opening on the Spring Street entrance to the Arcade.  There is notice of application to sell alcoholic beverages in the window, but no other information.

If you know anything about these new restaurants, please let us know in the comment section below.  Thanks!

Claytons Public House looks to be coming along with an opening set for late spring of 2017. This place should be a great place to grab a cold one or watch a game. The place will have outdoor seating with a spacious interior full of rich woods and decor to transport you back to Ole England. This will definitely be on my list to frequent once the plaice is up and running and pouring cold beverages. Should be a great summer spot.
