I’ve been wanting to eat at Seoul Sausage Company for a while now… and finally stopped by their new Little Tokyo location. We started with the Man Salad ($7). It’s a bowl of tater tots covered in something called Kim Cheese and topped with pickled vegetables. YES! The best $7 we spent in a long time! After we devoured the Man Salad we ordered two of their sandwiches. First up with The Only Kalbi Burger ($12). It’s a Korean marinated beef patty served with garlic jalapeno aioli, pickled onions and topped with a fried egg. This is not the easiest burger to eat. It’s a bit messy, but delicious.
Next was the Vinny’s Fried Chicken Sandwich ($11) is adobo marinated chicken topped with honey habanero slaw, aioli and pickles. I picked all those jalapenos off before I took my first bite. So good!
Seoul Sausage Company started as a tiny catering company run out of an apartment kitchen. Founded by brothers Ted and Yong Kim with Chef Chris Oh, Seoul Sausage Company stepped into the spotlight after winning Season 3 of The Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network. Now they have two restaurant. The first in West L.A. and their newest location in DTLA’s Little Tokyo.
This place is very casual, laid back and relaxed. You have your choice of seating: outside patio, inside dining area or at the bar. This is a great addition to Downtown Los Angeles. It’s a great place to grab a delicious meal without spending a fortune.
