Yorkshire Grill restaurant located at 610 W. 6th Street has mysteriously shut down. There is a sign taped to the door that reads, “Yorkshire Grill is now closed. We would like to thank you all our loyal customers for there many many years of patronage. For any further updates on our restaurant, we will post on our Facebook page. Thank you for being a valued guest here at Yorkshire Grill. If you have any question, yorkshiregrill@outlook.com.”
DTLAexplorer checked out the restaurant’s Facebook page, but there is no additional information. Calls to the restaurant’s phone number go unanswered.
There is no indication that the restaurant is shut down on it’s website either. It still reads, “Yorkshire Grill is synonymous with downtown dining. As a beacon of old downtown, located in the Jewelry District, many a lucrative business deal has been negotiated over the famous Yorkshire pastrami sandwich.” According to an internet search, Yorkshire Grill opened almost 60 years ago. If you know why it has closed down, please let us know in the comments section below. Thanks!
And the space has been vacant ever since.

The lease monthly rent payment doubled this year and it was to much for ownership. I was there the morning the sheriff delivered the 3 days or quit paperwork.
Darn shame if you ask me.
