Okay, it’s called DTLA Cheese because they specialize in cheese, but you need to go to this Grand Central Market eatery and order their farro salad. Yes, DTLA Cheese is a cut-to-order cheese counter, but trust me on this one… order the farro salad. First off, what is farro? It’s is a type of wheat from the Middle East often used as a substitute for pasta or rice. It has a nutty flavor similar to brown rice and is rich in fiber, magnesium and vitamins A, B, C, and E. Whatever… it tastes good. DTLA Cheese’s farro salad contains ricotta cheese, green beans, zucchini, pesto, peas and kale. They make it to order in two sizes $5 or $9. It’s so good and healthy!
While you are there, of course, pick up some cheese. DTLA Cheese has a great selection of domestic and imported cheeses.
