Big changes today in L.A. Live.  The Nokia Theater is no longer.  L.A. Live’s 7,100-seat concert and special events venue has officially been renamed Microsoft Theater.  The new sign went up this morning.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, “More than just getting a name change, the Microsoft Theater will receive a “technology refresh,” with improvements in the green rooms, writers’ rooms and staging areas to better serve promoters and artists. The company also is working on ways to improve the theatergoer experience.”

And there are more changes coming.  L.A. Live’s 40,000 square foot outdoor plaza will now be referred to as Microsoft Square.  The 2,300 seat Club Nokia will also be rebranded.
