20150530_142757I’ve seen all the buzz on social media the last few weeks about the new WSS store at 7th Street and Union Avenue, but today I finally made my way about 5 blocks west of the 110 Freeway to check it out.  First, let’s talk about the location.  WSS takes up 24,000 square feet on two floors of an awesome building on the southwest corner, and unlike most places in the DTLA area, WSS has a free parking lot just south of the building.

The inside of the building is also awesome.  Start off by checking out the chandelier and the hand-painted exposed wooden beam ceiling, but within seconds you will be distracted by the thousands of shoes.  WSS carries a huge selection of name brand athletic footwear like Nike, Vans, Converse, Adidas, Puma and Sketchers in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes.

At some shoe stores you have to find a sales person to get your size, but not at WSS.  All their stock is right at your finger tips.  There are plenty of very friendly people throughout the store if you do need help or have a question.  While you are shoe shopping don’t forget to check out the selection upstairs, that’s where they have more men’s styles plus their giant clearance section.

One of the coolest things about this store is the special 23 Steps of Immortality exhibit that features all styles of Air Jordans from 1 though 23.

I went there to check the place out, but ended up buying a new pair of Converse.  WSS  has a great selection and great prices.  WSS is open from 9am to 9am everyday of the week.
